I am a new user and have problems accessing ftp.
I've setup a new ftp account via cPanel with password & all. However, when I try to access via Firefox or WinSCP, I get authoriztion error 530.
What do I need to do to fix it? As a side note, when I created the ftp account it created the folder /home/public_html/newaccountname ... I thought it would be created in /home/public_ftp/newaccountname.

Hello Rob,
If you are trying to use secure FTP, please make sure that shell access is enabled for your domain. Please follow the following FAQ for enabling shell access:
http://helpdesk.canadianwebhosting.com/support-center/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=64
Also the home directories of the new FTP accounts should be /home/user/public_html/newaccountname.
