.htaccess issues have a phat finger newbie mistake

Postby Cartershill » Wed Jun 27, 2007 6:57 am

I don't spend very much time in c-panel and almost none in file manager and while trying to move a folder into public_html, I ended up moving public_html itself. I then found that I couldn't move it back to my home directory, only to sub directories.

To resolve I recreated public_html and move the contents back. I verified I had the same permissions (no guarantees I got it right! :)) and am now getting 403 forbidden errors. I did the google search and did everything on the apache FAQ I could, (recreate file and check permissions). Any suggestions?
