phpMyAdmin 2.11.4 Wrong Username/password Access denied

Postby vbaker » Tue Mar 25, 2008 9:02 pm

This was totally my fault. I am in the process of desperately trying to move over my website from the dreaded DreamHost... and just as it was working... I blew it at the last moment.

Everything was working perfectly, and then I accidentally changed the root password for my MySQL database. That in turn locked out

phpMyAdmin with a warning:

Wrong username/password. Access denied.

How do I set the phpMyAdmin password in order to get CPanel Webhost Manager to run phpMyAdmin again?

If you have access to cPanel WHM then you can reset the MySQL database administrator password.

Login to cPanel WHM and click MySQL Root Password.
