I've just signed up for the Starter plan and on logging in there's a bunch of stuff on the server (default stuff). I'm wondering if someone can describe for me what these things are, and whether or not I can get rid of them:
[folders]
.cpanel-datastore
.kde
.trash
etc
mail
public_ftp [anonymous ftp upload area]
public_html [websites, cgi-bin, etc.]
tmp
[files]
.bash_logout
.bash_profile
.bashrc
.contactemail
.gtkrc
.lastlogin
[link]
www
Any info much appreciated... |

Those are basically system files. Don't delete them
The most important one is the www/public_html directory which is your content directory. |
