Please Restore SSL Access to SMTP Server

With CWH's adoption of Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP), it is no longer possible to securely connect to the SMTP server via SSL connection on port 465. This is a Bad Thing. In an age of mobile computing, it is crucial that customers be able to connect to their e-mail securely. With the adoption of ASSP, we are now compelled not only to send our logon IDs and passwords in the clear, but also the content of our outgoing mail. Particularly for those of us using WiFi in public areas such as airports, hotels, and cafés, this opens a huge security risk.

ASSP may be ideal for small organizations where employees send and receive their e-mail only while at the office. But its lack of support for secure connections makes it inappropriate as a solution for a webhosting company, all of whose customers necessarily send their e-mail from off-site.

I request that CWH revert to its previous solution(s) for combatting spam or seek an alternative that doesn't compromise your customers' security.
