php_value

php_value

Postby laurendw » Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:55 pm

I installed Mint for site statistics. To make life easier, it has the option of using php_value to prepend the javascript it needs to every file on the site (rather than adding to each page separately). It does this using the "php_value auto_prepend_file" directive in the .htaccess file. When I try this, I get a 500 server error with the error message "Invalid command 'php_value'". After poking around on the web, the only potential problem I could find is whether PHP is loaded as an Apache module (is it?) Is there some configuration variable I should set?

Thanks!

Hello,

You can put the php directives in the .htaccess file only if php is loaded as an Apache module. It looks like php is enabled as a cgi extension in the server in which your domain is hosted. In this case, you have to put the php directives in a local php.ini file created on the particular folder.

Please open a ticket to "support at canadianwebhosting dot com", with your domain name if you need anymore help regarding this.
