Hi,

I'm not happy with my current web host. Too much downtime! I've also read some terrible reviews that say they continue to charge your credit card once you've cancelled service!

My issue is this...I've got them hosting my website AND I've registered my domain name with them. Is it possible to transfer both to a new host? That way I can cancel my credit card to avoid inappropriate charges from them.

Hi Ali,

Yes you should be able to transfer both the web hosting and domain name. The only time I can see a problem transferring the domain name is if it has been registered within the last 60 days (registrar-lock).

Apart from that the transfer is generally a pretty straight-forward process.
