Intel Finds Flaws in i5 and i7 Chips

Postby tony » Tue Feb 01, 2011 5:17 am

It seems that Intel has stopped shipping the i5 and i7 due to a flaw that can stop you from accessing your data over 2-3 years. They found it after computer makers returned some bad chips. Lucky I held off on a new computer :)

I wonder if they the laptop makers will do a full recall or keep it silent..

That's why they launch the version 2 of the i5 and i7. Too bad for the people spent 1k+ for the notebook with version1 i5 or i7. I don't think there will be recalls for notebooks.

Hmm, I need to check my notebook, since it uses an i7 chip.

Maybe its time to switch to an Apple!
