Hey,

I was wondering if there has been any issues with people using phplist and at what point it would become a problem.

I am looking at using this with a domain hosting plan

thanks

Hi,

You can use phplist with our hosting plans. However all our shared hosting plans limits the maximum number of emails that can be send per hour - per domain.

Limit is 400 mails per hour - per domain.

Phplist can be tweaked with following options.

# Batch Processing is useful in shared hosting environments. Set the maximum number of sent messages in a given time period.
# Throttling can limit the load on your server so it doesn't overload.
# Domain Throttling limits the number of emails to specific domains to keep on the friendly side of their system administrators.

Hello,

I am also interested in using Phplist with a CA Value Linux hosting plan.

Is the limit of 400 mails per hour still correct? What is the limit on the size of an outgoing email message?

Thanks
Bev

Dear Bev,

The maximum number of mails that can be send per hour is limited to 500 on our
new servers.

All outgoing mails are scanned by our barracudda mail firewall. Mail size is
limited to 20 MB.

We provide autoinstallers like Softaculous so that phplist installation is hazzle free for you.

Hi again,

I would like to know the current parameters for email on the CA Cloud Value accounts.

What is the maximum number of mails that can be send per hour?

What is the maximum mail size?

What is the maximum number of recipients per email?

Is there somewhere on canadianwebhosting.com that this information is listed?

Hi Bev,

All outgoing mails from our shared servers are filtered using Barracuda spam filtering servers. Thus, the following configurations are set on our Barracuda servers.

>> What is the maximum number of mails that can be send per hour?

You can send upto 10,000 mails per hour from the same IP address.

>> What is the maximum mail size?

The maximum message/mail size should be only 200 Mb.

>> What is the maximum number of recipients per email?

You may send mails to 500 recipients in an hour from a sender.

>> Is there somewhere on canadianwebhosting.com that this information is listed?

These informations are not listed on our website canadianwebhosting.com as these are common settings being used for all our shared hosting plans.

Regards,
Sonia.
