I chose Canadian Webhosting because it was a Canadian company that was local and I could talk with local sales and tech support people. I transferred my accounts and several client accounts and continued to use this company for new clients because it was locally based.

However, today I tried to use Live Chat for Tech support which is no longer possible and my phone call directed me to a Call center in the Philippines! What happened to the "Canadian" in Canadian Web hosting??!!?? There is nothing worse then attempting to resolve tech issues with individuals with Incomprehensible accents combine and lousy overseas phone connections. With so many Canadians needing work, there is no reason other then greed to go offshore.

I am not happy about this and will be looking for a new locally based "Canadian" web hosting company with locally based tech support for my existing and future web hosting needs.

Thank you very much for your comments. We made the decision to hire remote support technicians to help deal with overflow technical support calls when our North American agents are all tied up and dealing with other issues. We noticed a demand in shorter wait times which prompted our move to get more technicians on the phone. We still maintain agents in Vancouver/Richmond BC, Toronto ON, Seattle WA and Phoenix AZ. As you can see, we've grown a lot since the old days when we were in a small office in Richmond. :) With all that said, Canadian Web Hosting is still 100% Canadian owned and operated. Our headoffices are still located in Richmond BC with our main datacentre still located at the Harbour Centre in Downtown Vancouver. In addition to this datacentre, we have also servers in Toronto, Seattle and Dallas (the US locations are for clients who require hosting specifically in the US).

While I congratulate you in your success and I applaud your efforts to reduce call wait times, your decision to hire remote [Third World Country cheap labor] support technicians is nothing short of corporate greed and a blatant, shameful disregard for the state of our economy and serves only to contribute to our high unemployment.

As a result, I am immediately dropping out of your Affiliate program and removing all Canadian Webhosting references, images, and links from all my sites while I shop for a new local host for myself and my clients.
