Is it possible to switch from a value plan to the basic plan ?

Yes, it is definitely possible and the best way to change your hosting plan is to email or call our support team. They can be reached at 888-821-7888, or just email sales@canadianwebhosting.com and in the body of the email just let me know what you would like to do. If possible, include the same email you have listed in your account and any other account details needed to make the change.
