192.168.1.% in Remote MySQL

Postby pagestep » Mon Nov 21, 2011 10:59 am

I have 3 accounts - all of which use MySQL databases - setup under WHM. In cPanel -> Remote MySQL, 2 of them have an entry as 192.168.1.%. All 3 have databases, and all appear to work fine. What is the purpose of this entry? Can I remove it?

Thanks for any insights.

Hi Dirk,

Yes, you can remove the entry '192.168.1.%.' from remote sql hosts. It just means remote sql access is given to the IP range 192.168.1.0/24 and not actually needed. You can safely remove it.
