Dumb question... How do I access my web server space?!

Have created ftp user, setup ssh keys ok, but cannot login at all... just get "Permission denied, please try again."

Do ssh and ftp need 'activated' somehow?

to answer my own (dumb) question by reading the fine manuels:

"make sure to enter your IP ADDRESS until your domain name is indexed by the registry (which usually takes 24 to 48 hours but sometimes can take up to one week)"
