Publishing New Page

Postby Ron Chenier » Fri Jul 20, 2012 2:26 pm

Hello all,
I'm new to CWH and have just had my webpage transferred from another host:

http://bertrandchesnay.com/

A little re-adjustment on my part I guess.

I've just created a new Directory and added about 352 files.
In this directory there is a file called "index.html"

On my main webpage there is supposed to be a link to this "index.html"
However after uploading all the info and browsing the website I find the link is still not there.

When looking (browsing) at my maine webpage on CWH it doe not appears to be right.
It says the encoding is: UFT-8. Is this correct? Or Is there another coding I should select?

As a newbie here I hope some kind soul while point me in the right directions.

Thank you,
Ron

Hi Ron,

Thank you for contacting CWH.

I just checked your site http://bertrandchesnay.com/ and its folders. The site is loading the actual contents without any errors. The default encoding is UTF-8 and you need not select anything else.

If there are issues with viewing any particular URL, please open a support ticket to support@canadianwebhosting.com, with the exact URL which is facing the issue. We will help you to resolve it.

Hi Luke,

Sorry I guess I did not make myself very clear.
Yes the page opens with no erros.
But it is when I am in file manager and try to edit my home/main page that it comes up but does not seem right.
Should I still open a support ticket?
