Forwarding e-mail as attachments...

..does not seem to work any more. We use Thunderbird and were able to forward e-mail as attachment i.e. with an extension .eml until a few days ago. These e-mails are now rejected by the server with the message "This form of attachment has been used by recent viruses or other malware."

Do we always have to forward e-mails inline now rather than as attachments ? Any other solution ?

Hello :) ,

This is occuring because entries for the .eml extension is included in the "List of Banned Three Letter Extensions"
which is being utilized by exim mail server to overcome spam.

Please change the settings of the e-mail client that you are using to the standard ones so that you can overcome the issue.
