I saw that cPanel 11 offers the ability for users to add a shortcut folder and access their web space through web disk. I tried using this feature using my mac, (leopard) but it did not work. has anywone experienced any similar errors?

can anyone suggest a way to fix it?

The tutorial link is dead, use http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/A ... cs/WebDisk instead.

BTW, Web Disk (WebDAV with plain authentication) is a great feature. It essentially provides the security of FTPS (ftp with SSL) without having to purchase your own SSL certificate, and integrates better with your OS's file management tools than ftp does. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any way to get it to work in Windows 7. You could use Sharepoint services to accomplish the same thing, but you need a Windows hosting plan, or you could run XP virtually within Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, which is alot of trouble just to get Web Disk to work. Which is too bad, because Web Disk is a much slicker approach to secure online storage than the free web-based services that require you to open a browser to download or upload your files.
