What are EPP Key/ Authorization Code?

The authorization code or EEP key is a 6- to 16-character code assigned to all .com, .net, and .org domains. This authorization is an extra security measure, ensuring that only the owner of a given domain can initiate or request a domain transfer.

The authorization code or EEP key is not available or needed for .ca domains.

Some registrar login for your domain name will have the EPP key listed. But most of them, you will need to email/call them to request for it to be emailed to you.. and only the email that is on the administrative/registrant will be used, so make sure your email address is current on your domain name.

I see alot of transfer issues because the email address is not current or it belongs to your old host or webmaster even!
