You have registered a new domain name, but you don’t want to point your nameservers on your hosting provider. Would it be possible to use your own DNS nameservers?

Yes, you can setup and run your own private nameservers if you have a reseller, VPS or dedicated server plan that provided you with at least 2 additional IP addresses.

What is a private DNS?

The Private DNS allows you to brand your hosting services and to show yourself as an independent hosting provider. With it you can point all your accounts to your name.
Here is an example of Private domain name servers:

ns1.yourdomain.com
ns2.yourdomain.com

IF you have one one of the above plans with Canadian Web Hosting, contact our sales or support team for assistance with the setup to get your own Private DNS.
