What are packages? DO accounts go in packages?
Totally new at this...any help on getting set up would be appreciated!

Packages are like templates that you can specify disc quota's, transfers, and what kind of features the customer can have. When you create your Cpanel account, you can set these manually or you can select a predefined package to fill in all the features for you.

We use 3 predefined packages for our hosting: CA Basic, CA Value, CA Pro

In whm, we create these packages so that it can apply to any new accounts.

Basically any web hosting package/plan depend on the needs.

These are common things which should be select according to the needs

Operating system (Windows/Linux/UNIX)
Disk space
Regional Selection
Data Transfer (Traffic/Bandwidth)
Unique IP Address
Add-on Features
Number of email addresses
FTP, PHP, Perl, SSI, .htaccess, SSH, MySQL, crontabs
Control Panel
Price for the plan
Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Payment Plans
