cPanel can be configured to run daily, weekly and monthly backups locally and to a remote FTP server. For our shared clients, we offer daily and weekly backups for accounts with under 10GB of data. Clients using VPS and Dedicated plans can backup to an FTP server. This can be done through the WHM interface.

Also keep in mind that anyone with access to cPanel can generate and download their own backup.

How do I configure the automatic backups? I can only see the options for downloading a backup.

Automatic backups are enabled on our backend for the server. You have the option to download these backups when you click Backups in cPanel.
