local dns not configured?

we have a new VPS on which we are running our own dns, we've pointed the domain name at these, and that part seems to be working.

But I don't think requests are getting dealt with correctly by our dns, as the web site is not appearing, an empty page is returned in a browser.

http://www.intodns.com reports:
'NS records got from your nameservers listed at the parent NS are:
Oups! I could not get any nameservers from your nameservers (the ones listed at the parent server). Please verify that they are not lame nameservers and are configured properly. '

And :
WARNING: One or more of your nameservers did not return any of your NS records.

Can someone tell me, how to identify the problem please?

Many thanks.

Hello chivers,

If I understand your issue correctly, you have a set of name servers like ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com set up for your VPS and you use these nameservers for all the domains in the server.

The things to be checked in this case are:

1) ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com should be registered with the registrars of domain.com, with the correct IP addresses in your VPS server
2) ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com should have proper DNS records in the server under the zone of domain.com.

If these 2 steps are done properly, the domain will resolve without any issues. You can refer our tutorials at the following link as well,

If you still can't figure out the issue, please do open a support ticket to support@canadianwebhosting.com. We will help you with it.
