I am looking at starting up a web site, but have no idea where to start or what is required.
I don't want to use a free domain. I am willing to pay for a small one to start with and upgrade as needed and if ever needed.

I really have no idea what software is required ? Do web hosting providers provide tools ? Would anyone be able to help me please ? As you can see my questions are very basic and of the extreme beginner nature.

Thanks.

Hi,

It can be overwhelming when you first start out with a website.

My suggestion is to either get a techie or creative friend to help you out.

You can also signup to our template based system where you can pick and choose what web templates for your website.

Check it out at:

http://sitebuilder.canadianwebhosting.com/

Click on the Demo link on the right side to test drive it.

There's also products for your home computer such as Microsoft Frontpage, Macromedia Dreamweaver or the open source (free) equivalent NVU at http://www.nvu.com
