If you follow the MDAS in Mathematics, the correct answer is 1.

= 6/2(1+2)
= 6/2(3)
= 6/6
= 1

Non-scientific calculators do it from left to right, so the answer is 9 (not so right).

= 6/2(1+2)
= 3(1+2)
= 3(3)
= 9

To get the correct answer you must follow the following rules:

Rule 1: First perform any calculations inside parentheses.
Rule 2: Next perform all multiplications and divisions, working from left to right.
Rule 3: Lastly, perform all additions and subtractions, working from left to right.

I love the game of football, referring to what North America calls soccer. Now that Euro 2012 has started, for those who love the sport as much as me and is passionate in following for their team to victory or defeat.
